I was gonna ask what's the point of these locks, but you already said they're pointless, so I'll go with that lol

Back in high school, thugs figured out how to jerk open the Masterlock combination lock the school mandated for gym locker room. Everyone have their valuable stuff stolen but school still insisted everyone using the same model. Some student got fed up and switched to keyed locks that's 3/8" or 1/2" thick so the school custodians couldn't cut it. The school didn't do anything about the thugs because they are in the school temperately until expelled to another school

you know, amazon doesnt give a crap. stuff like this is why they went big to begin with. unless amazon stated, on the day amazon existed, that they were against this, they never cared. yeah sure now, after billions of dollars made they'll say this or that, but no. it's all bs.

I get that this is garbage at house proteccion but i mean it could have other uses such as locking your backpack so it can be opened unless they have your fingerprint thatway it would be usefull

The same size turn key padlock will offer you far better security and they can be bought from some cheap shops for a few dollars.

There's a counter argument to his dilemma, do nothing. Let people learn to be careful, perceptive and vigilant on their own. Aka do nothing and things might fall into place.

At the nine dollar price point, this might be worth it to me to get just to tinker with. For example, maybe disassemble the mechanism and try to build it into something that actually worked. I just checked Amazon thought: they want closer to fifty dollars, which is far more than I'd ever pay for something intended for tinkering. I'd pay that for a lock offering kick ass security, but not for a toy with a known flaw.

That's a safety feature in case the battery goes dead. It says on the package that thieves aren't allowed to use the mallet method to open the lock.

That's the case for A TON of items on Amazon. Seems by design. Even more comical are the multitudes of "brands" that seemed to be randomized characters.

Imagine buying a $9 lock for $45 and it can be bypassed quicker than it takes the finger print scanner to work. This is why your channel is necessary.

These locks must be locked securely with a good lock to secure them from being stolen

You have about a billion different companies making 532nm laser pointers that use the same two suppliers for the laser chassis and the actual internals. You have those mesh capacitive styluses that look exactly the same sold by 100 different companies. You have the same cheap tactical lights being sold for 25 bucks with the same telescoping focus design, the same square LED, the same green 5-mode clicky switch at the tail. A bunch of disposable companies making stuff out of the same few suppliers.
