  • I used to break in my dad's locker and it only had a wafer lock. I used a simple hairpin as a key. Stuck it in and 'jiggled' it 'til it opened. I had access to his guns but I couldn't tell him 'cause he woulda whooped my ass for even attempting. It was such a garbage lock tho, and if my parents used this stuff, it would not have slowed me down.

  • You don't even need to pick the lock or have any knowledge. You just need a screwdriver. Unscrew the socket from the wall and connect the 2 wires with something. Lock is bypassed. You could even just unattach the wires from the lock and twist the ends together.

    killerkonnatkillerkonnatPřed 16 hodinami
  • In those days you had to pay the phone by the minute and it could get quite expensive and when your phone line was in use with data, you were not able to make phone calls, not until ISDN came in.

  • I simply spliced my neighbors phone lines and used them. It saved me a fortune!

    Gustave FrankfurterGustave FrankfurterPřed 18 hodinami
  • We did that with my friend in the 1990’s Since phone was 4 wires, we looped all the phone lines in his house through the jack in his bedroom. We got a hobby box from radio shack and installed a momentary switch and a toggle switch. The momentary switch disconnected all the phones in the house temporarily, and the toggle switch was for privacy. This way he could kick off his brothers and sisters off the phone and the toggle switch was to disable all the other extensions so nobody could listen in. It worked good until he went to school and forgot to turn all the other extensions on. His father called the phone company to come out and fix it. We go there after school and the guy from AT&T is there fixing the phones. He was impressed with our handy work and was laughing when he figured out what we did

  • The only reason lock smithing exists today is because LPL's great-great.......great-father was around when lockable chastity belts were the only thing standing in the way.

One lady asked the real estate agent if there was a secret safe behind it, and the real estate agent couldn't answer because she couldn't figure out what it was for. • Back in the day, when I was a child, I'd quite often play hookey from school. I'd then go back to our empty house and spend the day there. The one TV we had was a rental that relied on a coin meter on the back that needed a tanner put in every hour. Fortunately to take the back off the TV required the removal of just four screws. Then it was a simple matter to short out the switch with a piece of spare wire. Using this technique I was able to watch tv (which was rubbish. Just Andy Pandy and the wooden tops. etc...) I'd just need to remember to remove my improvised jumper before the rest of the family came home.
